Peter Voeller

UW Academic and Special Programs
Advanced Lecturer
Seattle, WA
I have been in the field since Peace Corps Morocco from 1977-1980.  I then got my Masters in TESOL and Linguistics at Colorado State University and eventually got a job in the English Language Program at the University of Washington.  Over the years, I have done my time in Admin, as an ISO and SEVIS contact, but always in the classroom.  I was very active in NAFSA: AIE through the 90s and early 2000s and went back to teaching full time in 2005.  Our program came to an end last summer and now out of some 68 instructors, there are fewer than 10 left.  We are in a stream-lined program which caters to the TA ships in the Master's Program, international students and short-term programs, which since last March, have all been online.  I am in the golden years of my career, but still vital and am interested in materials development, classroom teaching, Academic and Business Certificate instruction and student advising.  I am interested in working online exclusively and not interested in relocating.  I'd be happy to be a mentor and get caught up with past colleagues.
